Human Origins in Africa

Analyzing Key Concepts: Old Stone Age v New Stone Age: Detail the differences between the Paleolithic Age and the Neolithic Age as listed in the readings.
Paleolithic Age is a period of time, about 25 million to 8000 B.C., also known as the Old Stone Age, where steel tools were developed. The Neolithic Age is the final division of the Stone Age, around 8000 B.C. to 3000 and when the first developments of farming appeared in the Near East and spread through the rest of the world later.
Drawing Conclusions: Describe the work of anthropologists, archaeologists, and paleontologists. Who were the Leakey's and Donald Johnson? Why we're their discoveries of hominid footprints and “Lucy” important?
Anthropologist study human behavior, cultures, languages,  remains, and physical characteristics of people in the past and present. Archaeologists investigate historic and prehistoric sites and physical remains to help find clues on how people were in the past.Paleontologist study fossil of plants and animals to help them put pieces of history together that made up the earth and the life on it. Leakey and Donald Johnson were archaeologist that found parts of a skeleton that dated back 3.2 million years, the oldest human bones discovered. Their discoveries of hominid footprints and "Lucy" are important because it would help us to better our understanding with the human origins.
