Italy's advantage that was most important for creating the Renaissance was their wealthy merchant class, since the merchant class had a lot of money it allowed them to support others.

Some characteristic of the "Renaissance man" are charming, well educated, and should know how to sing dance, and write poetry. Some characteristics of the "Renaissance woman" are charming, and expected to inspire art not create it.

The Italy's cities helped make it the birthplace of the Renaissance by being finically stable with the help of the wealthy merchant class.

The writing of Petrarch, wrote sonnets about an ideal women, the  Boccaccio wrote about his character in the Decameron, and Machiavelli wrote about the imperfect humans.
