Mycenaean -  the people who settled on the Greek mainland around 2000 B.C.
Trojan War -  During the 1200s B.C., the Mycenaeans fought a ten-year war against Troy, an independent trading city located in Anatolia.
Dorian - the Dorians spoke a dialect of Greek and may have been distant relatives of the Bronze Age Greeks.
Homer - the greatest storyteller, who was a blind man
epic - narrative poems celebrating heroic deeds,
myth - through myths, the Greeks sought to understand the mysteries of nature and the power of human passions.

One of the cultures that I think contributed the most to the Greek culture was literature. This influence many others things in the Greek culture.

The physical geography of Greece caused Greek - speaking peoples to develop separate, isolated communities because the country is made of up mountains, so different communities would settle in separate valleys.

The location around the sea helped encourage trade with neighboring countries, connected to Greece

They divide the people and helped with protection from invaders. But also made it very difficult to transport goods.
