The ideas associated with chivalry that have remnants in todays society is the idea that mean should be loyal, devoted and courteous.

The two inventions from Asia that changed in todays technology of warfare in western Europe were leather saddles and stirrups.

Some themes of the medieval literature was about castle life, knighthood and chivalry, tournaments, real battles, love between a knight and a lady, and hero's deeds and adventures.
READING GUIDE
1. Education - no time to learn due because they devoted their lives to war
2. Weapons and equipment - leather saddles and stirrups kept soldiers from falling off their horses, wealth from fiefs meant knights were able to afford weapons, armor, and horses.
3. War games - tournaments between young knights, combat training, the winners demanded ransom from losers
4. Code of chivalry  - made knights seem more romantic 
5. Castle life - lived in the castle, had 40 days of combat per year, pasted time by training for war by wrestling and hunting.
